A beautifully renovated apartment set within an early-20th-century townhouse in the very heart of Catania’s historic centre. The location is exceptionally central, just a short walk from the Cathedral and the Ursino Castle— a medieval fortress commissioned by Frederick II, once facing the sea and built to protect the city from pirate raids.
Situated independently on the first and only floor of the building, the apartment offers peace, privacy and autonomy, while preserving traditional decorative details such as the coloured cement-tile flooring in the living area. The interiors have been designed specifically to ensure an excellent stay experience. The apartment can accommodate up to six guests, with the option—free of charge—of adding up to two travel cots for children upon request.
It features one double bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed, and a double sofa bed in the living–dining area. The apartment is completed by a kitchen, one bathroom, and two terraces that provide a truly unique experience.
The kitchen is fully equipped with accessories, cookware, cutlery, plates and glasses—everything you may need during your stay. The following amenities are included in the price: air conditioning and heating in all rooms, microwave, fridge-freezer, gas oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine, and fibre-optic internet connection (Wi-Fi). The window and door frames were recently installed (Nov 2022) and are aluminium with thermal break and double glazing, offering good acoustic insulation.
You will find two 32” LED TVs, each with a DVD player and a Fire Stick for streaming Netflix, Prime Video and more. Both terraces are furnished with a parasol/shade sail, tables and chairs, armchairs and outdoor rugs.
Our properties are cleaned by professional, qualified staff. Bed linen and towels are included; the initial set is provided at the start of your stay in collaboration with a professional laundry service that guarantees sterilisation.
The apartment is rented in compliance with Italian Law 431/98.
UPDATE: From 16 June 2024, the area around the medieval castle has been designated a limited traffic zone (ZTL). Although the building entrance remains accessible by car, please note that it is no longer possible to park in the square and there have been minor changes to traffic circulation. The entire surrounding area remains accessible to vehicles. We have included a photo indicating the areas affected by the new measure. Please feel free to contact us should you need any further information.
